A veteran of the US Air Force, Matt's disciplined approach and keen attention to detail have been honed through his service. Growing up in Sitka, Alaska, Matt also developed a unique sonic palate, influenced by the natural sounds and rugged beauty of his surroundings, deeply informing his creative process, and allowing him to bring a distinctive perspective to his sound design work.
Matt's outstanding work has earned him significant recognition, including a Golden Reel Award win in 2017 for his contributions to Gears of War 4. He has also received nominations for his work on Gran Turismo (2023), Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2017), and A Quiet Place Part II (2022). Additionally, he was nominated for a Children's & Family Emmy Award for his work on Hotel Transylvania: Transformania (2022).
